  • FNF Minus is a mod where all of the characters are based off their icons, which explains the existence of three different Boyfriend versions.
    • The Beta BF is based on the old icon, still available when 9 is pressed on the keyboard.
    • The Mean BF is based on the placeholder icon in pre-development, it can still be found in the game files in the image grafix.png along with unused icons of Daddy Dearest.
    • Despite having no icon, the Henchmen have received the minus treatment, making them the first character(s) that has been redesigned without an actual icon to base it off of.
  • In the death animation on Mean BF, it can be seen that that there’s a bone in his hat, suggesting that the hat may be a part of him. It could either be a joke or a mistake because Iago was either tired or distracted while making the death animation.
  • Minus Zardy is a girl.
  • There’s a mistake involving Mean BF’s death animation, with his blue balls being misplaced. They aren’t misplaced on his FLA file however.

А затем игровой процесс стали активно стримить на порталах YouTube и Twitch, благодаря чему игра привлекла к себе многомиллионную аудиторию.

Именно после этого Кэмерон Тайлер заявил, что планирует официально выпустить её обновленную версию, добавив поддержку других актуальных игровых платформ. Продвижение Friday Night Funkin Game выполняется без издателя, все расходы на разработку Тайлер взял на себя. Информации о задействованном бюджете не указано.

Настройка параметров

Дополнительных настроек в ПК-версии игры минимум. Можно лишь изменить яркость и контраст выводимого изображения. Установленное по умолчанию управление изменить невозможно. Но его можно править через конфигурационный файл с расширением .ini в «Моих документах». Необходимости в этом нет, используются только клавиши WASD или стрелки (можно нажимать одновременно).

Разрешение экрана тоже устанавливается то, что по умолчанию используется в операционной системе. И чтобы его изменить, нужно установить другое разрешение экрана через настройки Windows (или через панель управления настройками графической подсистемы Nvidia, AMD, Intel).

При запуске батлов можно выбирать их сложность:

  • начальная;
  • средняя;
  • высокая.

Это влияет на количество стрелок, которые игроку нужно нажимать, на частоту их появления, и допустимое количество ошибок для проигрыша. Так же есть режим обучения.

Что представляет собой игра?

Как такового сюжета в Friday Night Funkin нет. Она представляет собой сборник музыкальных «батлов» для сингл-режима. Главный герой — парень по имени «Boyfriend» (сокращенно упоминается как BF)

Его главная задача — завоевать внимание своей подружки «Girlfriend» (упоминается как GF). Но их отношениям препятствует папа девушки (упоминается как «Daddy Dearest»)

И чтобы завоевать его доверие, BF решает продемонстрировать свой музыкальный талант, сражаясь с различными персонажами в музыкальных батлах.

Как они проводятся? Под заранее записанные песни нужно своевременно, в ритм играющей музыки, нажимать стрелки на клавиатуре согласно текущим указаниям на экране. В нижней части геймплея отображается «шкала сражения», а также очки (общие для всей игровой кампании). Она заполняется, если игрок нажимает вовремя правильные команды, уменьшается, если совершает ошибки. Победой считается тот случай, когда шкала будет полностью заполнена, что и сигнализирует победу BF над его противником.

Над каждым соперником нужно получить 3 победы (над одним из них — всего дважды). В каждом новом сражении используется новая музыкальная композиция, увеличивается количество «стрелок» и скорость их движения.

В самой игре пояснения по сюжету нет. Описание предоставил сам разработчик на основе проектного документа, созданного во время разработки. В будущем при выпуске обновленной версии Friday Night Funkin этот недочет планируется устранить, дополнив геймплей кат-сценами.

Обзор популярных модов

Благодаря открытому исходному коду, а также лицензии Apache, в модификации файлов игры нет никаких ограничений. И разработчики модов имеют возможность публиковать свои сборки в свободный доступ.

Самые популярные моды для FNF:

  1. Whitty. С этим модом в игре появляется новый соперник — получеловек-полуробот с головой-бомбой. У этого персонажа большая история. Ему 20 лет. На первый взгляд он кажется злобным, а на самом деле он в глубокой депрессии.

Tricky. Дополнение, в котором игроку придется сразиться с клоуном. Сыграть в него можно также в веб-версии Friday Night Funkin.

Hex. Является сюжетным дополнением для основной кампании. Ключевое нововведение — появление дополнительных «недель» с новыми боссами для каждой из них. В этом моде сражаться придется с роботом, которого Папа также послал, чтобы тот помешал общению BF с GF. Мод также привносит в игру дополнительные композиции, исполненные в стилистике оригинальной музыки.

Neo. Самый масштабный и популярный мод для Friday Night Funkin. Тоже бесплатен, разработан сообществом фанатов, поставивших перед собой цель создать полноценную игру на основе оригинальной Friday Night Funkin. Не только преобразовывает графическую составляющую (в «неоновый» стиль), но и добавляет новые режимы, сложности, боссов, музыкальные композиции. Мод выложен в публичный доступ, но его продолжают активно дорабатывать. Главное преимущество Neo — это «неоновый» режим, при котором видимость нажимаемых стрелок существенно улучшается. Это упрощает осваивание игрового процесса для новичков, которые ранее с подобным жанром вообще не сталкивались.

Большинство модов бесплатно доступны через официальную группу проекта в Steam. Для установки некоторых из них нужна установленная Friday Night Funkin на ПК, другие же публикуются как готовый установщик с уже включенной в него оригинальной игрой.

Целых 5 долгих недель Влюбленному Парню пришлось стараться одержать верх над самыми талантливыми и необычными противниками. На шестой неделе его влюбленная подружка, у которой происходит трансформация стандартного внешнего вида к 32-битному стилю, предлагает своему приятелю новое развлечение, названное «Стимулятором свиданий». В это же время отец девушки, который откровенно ненавидит главного героя, пускается на ухищрения – из развлечения влюбленной парочки он устраивает настоящую ловушку.

Начало недели происходит возле Школы. В дневное время площадка для музыкального сражения располагается на просторной дороге, вымощенной камнем розоватого оттенка. Она протянулась до учебного заведения, где выделяется водонапорная башня и есть центральные часы. Пользователь сможет различить на картинке, как японские вишневые деревья роняют свои нежные лепестки.

Саму площадку посетили девочки, одетые в традиционные школьные наряды синего цвета, характерные для страны Восходящего Солнца, и расположились на заднем плане. Они приняли романтичные позы и увлеченно наблюдают за разворачивающимся музыкальным сражением.

В ходе игрового процесса локация будет изменяться, и у школьниц, которые пришли посмотреть на сражение, движения будут становиться все замедленнее, чем казались в самом начале. В глазах-сердечках все больше светится пустота, а на лице застывает удивленное выражение.

    This battle theme that was made by NyxTheShield plays in Underverse 0.3 Part 2 during a battle involving X!Chara, Ink!Sans, and Swap!Sans.

    , is a remix of his original battle theme.

  • Overwrite is also the name of a technique that X!Gaster and X!Chara use throughout XTale and Underverse, similar to Resetting.
  • X!Chara is the XTale counterpart of Chara.
  • Although the original Chara from Undertale does not have a confirmed gender, X!Chara is confirmed to be male.
  • X!Chara is confirmed to be pansexual.
  • X!Chara is sometimes jokingly compared by his fans to Killua from Hunter x Hunter.
  • Similar to other Chara’s in other Undertale AUs and in the original base game, he has an interest in chocolate.

  • Ink!Sans doesn’t have emotions and feelings because he is soulless. His fake emotions and feelings come from his vials of ink which he drinks regularly to feel emotions like normal beings do. Of course, if he ever stops drinking them, he will return to being emotionless just like in this case.
  • Ink!Sans’ attacks do 0 damage, this is because while he is able to summon bone attacks and Gaster Blasters, like almost every alternative version of Sans, his attacks are made of ink so they don’t do any kind of damage.
  • Ink!Sans ironically was the only one in his AU who had been able to develop emotions, after committing suicide and ending up outside of his Au he also became emotionless.
  • Ink!Sans is the protector of all Undertale AUs, and thus he is the enemy of Error!Sans, the destroyer of AUs.
  • Ink!Sans doesn’t care about the people inside the AUs but only the AUs themselves.
  • Ink!Sans is usually depicted a good guy throughout the Undertale fandom. However, this is not the case. Одна из песен, входящая в состав официального OST, заняла в Spotify 20-е место среди самых прослушиваемых песен дня 6 марта 2021 года. Добавить альбом в свою библиотеку можно бесплатно. Kawai Sprite также выложил подробные инструкции и описание инструментариев по написанию музыки в схожей стилистике.

Итого, Friday Night Funkin — игра, обретшая чуть ли не культовый статус всего за 3 месяца с момента выхода, хоть и разрабатывалась исключительно для участия в соревновании среди геймдизайнеров. В сети при этом уже появляются слухи, что Тайлер раздумывает над разработкой второй части, для чего планируется открыть полноценный офис с 10–20 сотрудниками.

Multiplayer mod

Главное нововведение — это добавление мультиплеерного режима для игры в сингле (на одном экране) и мультиплеер через интернет в режиме online (с использованием сервера Ngrok или подобные по функционалу сервисы).

Если играть вдвоем на одном экране, то управление будет следующим:

  • для первого игрока — WASD;
  • для второго игрока (BF) — «стрелки».

Перед запуском батла на двоих можно выбрать и первого персонажа, и композицию, и фон. Дополнительных графических изменений в моде не предусмотрено. Настроить управление можно только через конфигурационный файл, создатель мода в будущем обещает выпустить его обновленную версию, где это можно будет сделать уже через встроенное меню Friday Night Funkin. Также появятся дополнительные возможности для онлайн battle.
