Abilities

Break the Mold

Innate: Rell’s basic attacks deal 8 − 16 (based on level) bonus magic damage and reduce the target’s  armor and  magic resistance by 10% for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent attacks against them. Basic attacks against enemy champions will refresh the duration for all nearby afflicted enemies.

Rell gains  bonus armor and  bonus magic resistance equal to the sum of the resistances reduced from all afflicted enemies, respectively, and Break the Mold’s bonus damage is increased equal to the sum of the resistances reduced from the target.

Break the Mold will reduce the target’s armor and magic resistance by a minimum of 5 − 12 (based on level), or 0.5 / 1.25 / 2 (based on level) versus minions.

Rell’s is reduced「 by 0% − 7.14% (based on level). 」「 to 42% − 39% (based on level). 」

  • The resistances are stolen after the damage from the triggering attack is calculated, meaning only subsequent attacks will benefit from the reduction.
  • Rell’s buff accumulates enemies with Break the Mold’s debuff and she will consequently lose a portion of the bonus resistances gained as afflicted enemies die. This is contrary to other effects described as «thefts» (e.g. and ) that are implemented by granting a buff to the caster that is proportionate, though independent, to the debuff applied to the target (i.e. in those instances, each persists for the full duration regardless).

Shattering Strike

Active: Rell thrusts her lance in the target direction, completely destroying damage-mitigating shields of enemies hit before dealing them magic damage, reduced to 50% against enemies beyond the first. The first enemy hit is also afflicted with .

Magic Damage:
70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+ 50% AP)
Secondary Damage:
35 / 52.5 / 70 / 87.5 / 105 (+ 25% AP)

If Rell is tethered with , she and the bound ally heal for each enemy champion hit.

Heal Per Champion:
10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+ 30% AP) (+ 5% of missing health)
  • Shattering Strike will cast from wherever Rell is at the end of the cast time.
  • Rell is of moving, attacking, and casting any other ability except for 0.35 seconds after Shattering Strike

Casting Attract and Repel will cancel Shattering Strike. The ability will not go on cooldown but will still expend mana.(bug)

    is cast.

  • Shattering Strike, while binded to an ally, will grant the heal from hitting as well.

Ferromancy: Crash Down

Passive: While mounted, Rell gains 5% − 15% (based on level)  bonus movement speed, which is only 20% − 40% (based on level) as effective for 3 seconds when she takes damage from non- minions and is removed for 4 seconds when she becomes .

Active: Rell leaps to the target location over the cast time, transforming her mount into durable armor and upon landing dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and knocking them up for 1 second. Rell keeps sliding forward another 300 units over 0.5 seconds, though not through terrain, affecting further enemies along her path.

Magic Damage:
70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+ 60% AP)

While dismounted, she gains the ability to cast . Rell will automatically mount up without casting upon completing a Recall channel.

This ability can only be cast while mounted. Rell can cast and during the leap, and is not considered to be dismounted until after the leap ends.

  «Armoring up!»

Ferromancy: Mount Up

Passive: While dismounted, Rell gains  10% bonus armor and  10% bonus magic resistance and a shield that lasts until destroyed or casting , but her base movement speed is modified to 250.

Shield:
40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+ 13% of maximum health)

Active: Rell transforms her armor into a mount, gaining 15% bonus movement speed for 3.5 seconds, increased to an amount when moving towards enemy champions.

Increased Movement Speed:
25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45%

Rell’s next basic attack during this time gains  100 bonus attack range and consumes the bonus movement speed to have a 0.2-second cast time during which she charges at the target’s location. At the end of the dash or upon premature collision, she deals them bonus magic damage, stuns them for 1 second, and flings them 150 units over herself.

Bonus Magic Damage:
10 / 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 (+ 40% AP)

Ferromancy: Mount Up Rell’s basic attack timer.

While mounted, she gains the ability to cast .

This ability can only be cast while dismounted.

Biography[]

Born in Rhode Island, LastShadow first got into competitive gaming playing Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Super Smash Bros. Melee and then transitioning into StarCraft. When he was 18, he permanently moved to South Korea and played with multiple gaming organizations there, living with Samsung (including when it was still MVP) for two years. During that time he became close friends with imp, who encouraged him to switch to League of Legends. Though he has never played League competitively, he is Masters on the Korean server and offers coaching services to players and teams.

2014 Season

On May 5, LS joined Supa Hot Crew as a coach/analyst, and his position was announced publicly on the 12th.

LS was the subject of Thorin’s 43rd Reflections interview, recorded on June 25 and released almost two months later on August 11.

On August 7, LS announced that he had not been working with SHC for the past three weeks, though there were no hard feelings between himself and the organization. However, after SHC’s loss to ROCCAT in the Summer Playoffs, LS began coaching them again to help them avoid relegation. SHC beat Millenium 3-0 in the fifth-place match and retained their LCS slot.

G2 Scandal

Concurrently, LS had been working with Gamers2, ocelote’s team. Ocelote had approached him initially in mid-July, and on July 29 LS began to coach the team, first in preparation for their match against H2k in the EUCS Summer Series 2 playoffs and then in preparation for their match against Unicorns of Love in the Summer Playoffs. Gamers2 beat H2k due to a forfeit but then lost to Unicorns of Love.

Over the next several weeks LS tried to get ocelote or Gamers2 to pay him but was unable to secure payment. In a conversation broadcasted on LS’ Twitch stream, ocelote claimed that he was never going to pay LS.

On November 3, LS offered to give his records of Gamers2’s communications and scrim information to any team playing against them, citing several reasons for his decision to do so. The next day, popular comedian and entertainer Sky paid LS the amount owed him by ocelote.

2015 Preseason

LS stayed with SHC through their acquisition by Meet Your Makers. On January 5 his departure from MYM was announced. A few weeks later, right before the start of the NA LCS, LS joined Roar to coach them remotely from Korea. However, after Roar failed to qualify for the NACS, he left the team.

LS joined Gravity Gaming soon after he left Roar, replacing former coach SoulDra. As their head coach, he was required to attend LCS games to assist with the pick/ban phase, and so he commuted biweekly between Seoul, where he still lived, and the United States. One week into the summer split, he left the team.

Ahead of the 2016 Summer Split, when SpoTV joined OGN as an LCK broadcaster, he and Rapid joined SpoTV as their English casting team. He and PapaSmithy then became the two English LCK casters chosen by Riot for the English broadcast for the 2016 Worlds.

Unique effects

Items and their effects may have a «Unique» tag that prevents effect stacking.

  • Effect limitation gives the item effect a «Unique» tag that prevents the effect from stacking via a duplicate of the item. Aura items circumvent this restriction since the effect is received under different conditions.
  • Named Effect limitation broadens the constraint of unique effect limitation across different items. The effects of the named effect can be gained only once, even if the two items are entirely unrelated (such as ).
  • Item group limitation gives the item a «Unique» tag that prohibits purchase of duplicates and other items with the same tag, excluding purchases that consume the item via upgrading.

Once a unique effect goes on cooldown, all other instances sync to the most recent cooldown even if they haven’t been activated.

History[]

After their European team was not accepted into the franchised LEC in spring 2019, Unicorns of Love moved to the CIS region and entered the LCL by acquiring the spot of Team Just. Their initial roster included three former Vega Squadron members, BOSS, AHaHaCiK, and Nomanz, who had competed in the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational a few weeks prior. They also re-acquired their old coach Sheepy, who had coached SK Gaming during the Spring Split. The team then won the LCL Summer Split, earning the right to return to Berlin for the 2019 Worlds Play-In. They advanced to the knockout stage after beating Clutch Gaming twice but were edged out in 5 games by old European rivals Splyce including UOL original member Vizicsacsi playing what would eventually be his last tournament.

History

Main article: Bandle City

Cave drawing of a prehistoric Yordle family (Gnar’s)

Prehistoric predator of the Yordles

Yordles come from self-contained pockets within the spirit realm, with no direct «mirror» in the material realm of Runeterra. The origin of this race on Runeterra is unknown but can be traced back to a prehistoric time when there were no civilizations on land thanks to the existence of Fizz, an amphibious yordle. Most would agree that Yordles resided on Valoran during its prehistoric times. At that time they were a nomadic race, travelling from one part of Valoran to the other. Records show they had presence in Ancient Freljord. They lived in tight neat family groups as well as near early humans. Because of their small stature, they were mostly prey for many animals. During prehistoric times they had tails and front canine teeth.

Overtime as human civilizations advanced, so did yordles’ appearances and capabilities. To easily blend in human areas, yordles at one point started using an ability called «Glamour», which gave them the appearance of short humans.

To this day, most yordles stay inside the mystical spiritual realm known as Bandle City, only venturing out on rare occasions. There are numerous gateways across Runeterra that yordles, and other knowledgeable and perceptive individuals, are able to use to get to in and out of Bandle City.

Ruined King

LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE

Few know of the kingdom to the east, far across the seas, whose name lies all but forgotten among the ruins that dot its shores. Fewer still know of its foolish young ruler, whose lovestruck heart was doomed to destroy it.

Now a grave threat to all, that man’s name was—and is— Viego.

The second son of a dynastic king, Viego was never intended to lead. Instead, he lived a life of comfort that made him complacent and selfish. Yet, when his older brother died unexpectedly, Viego, who possessed neither the inclination nor the aptitude for rulership, suddenly found himself crowned.

He showed little interest in his position until he met a poor seamstress, Isolde. So taken was he by her beauty that the young king offered her his hand in marriage, and thus, one of the most powerful rulers of the age was wed to a peasant girl.

Their romance was enchanting, and Viego, who’d rarely shown interest in anyone other than himself, devoted his life to her. The two were inseparable—he scarcely went anywhere without Isolde, always lavishing gifts upon his queen, and his attention could seldom be broken when she was present.

Viego’s allies fumed. Unable to interest him in governance, and with the nation beginning to unravel under his questionable rulership, some plotted in secret to end their new king’s reign before it had begun. His nation’s enemies, meanwhile, saw an opportunity to strike. And the vipers began to circle.

Thus did an assassin’s poisoned dagger one day come for Viego. But the king was well defended, and the dagger did not strike true—instead grazing Isolde.

The toxin worked quickly, and Isolde fell into a ruinous torpor, while Viego could only watch in horror as his wife’s condition grew ever more serious. Overwhelmed with fury and despair, he spent every last coin within his coffers trying to save her.

But it was all for naught. Isolde perished in her bed, and Viego was consumed by madness.

His search for an antidote became desperate, crazed. Unable to accept his wife’s death, every treasure of the kingdom—every scrap of wealth—was sacrificed to his quest to return her to him. As the land fell into disarray, Viego hid himself away with Isolde’s body, becoming hateful and violent.

Then came the day he learned the secret of the Blessed Isles, of its water that healed any ailment. With his great army, he stormed the peaceful country by force, slaughtering everyone who stood in his way until he at last breached its inner sanctum and let his wife drift beneath the blessed water. She would return to him, no matter the destruction he wrought. No matter the cost.

And for just one moment, she did.

Isolde arose a horrifying wraith of shadow and rage, and in her pain, her anger, her confusion at being ripped from death, she took Viego’s own enchanted blade and thrust it through his heart. The magic of the waters and the ancient sword clashed, and the chamber’s energy erupted, tearing across the Isles and trapping everything it touched in tortured, conscious undeath.

Yet of this, Viego remembers nothing. His country collapsed into ruin, great nations rose and fell, and in time, even his name was forgotten… until, a thousand years after his death, Viego stood once more. And this time, he would not fail.

His mind twisted by the same dangerous obsession he possessed in life, Viego’s unflinching, deranged love fuels his every action, his every desire, his every atrocity. The deadly Black Mist pours freely from Viego’s broken heart—ripping the life from everything it touches—and he uses the Mist to scour the world for some way to return Isolde to his side.

Legions will fall before him only to rise again in his service, continents will be swallowed by living darkness, and the world will pay for every moment of happiness it stole from an ancient ruler laid low by all-consuming love. He cares naught for the destruction he causes, so long as he can see Isolde’s face again.

His reign is terror.

His love is eternal.

And until Isolde returns to him, all will fall before the Ruined King.
